14 arrests, a 10-time offender, and a busy Wednesday
Good morning, Bellingham!
Tuesday’s lull didn’t carry over into yesterday. Forty-one incidents and 14 arrests made for one of the busier days we've seen this month, with enforcement concentrated downtown and along Cornwall Ave during the midday hours. The standout: a 42-year-old cited for drug possession who has now been arrested 10 times in Bellingham since March 2025.
At a Glance
Activity clustered in two windows: early morning (midnight to 4 AM) and late morning through early afternoon (7 AM to 1 PM). The midday stretch was particularly active, with eight arrests between 10 AM and 2:30 PM, most of them on Cornwall Ave between the Lettered Streets and downtown.
The evening was comparatively quiet. After 3 PM, only seven incidents came in, and just two resulted in arrests. Both of those came at 11:19 PM on the Holly St strip.

Timeline Analysis
Intel Briefs
Malicious Mischief Reports Are Up
Malicious incidents have nearly doubled week-over-week, with 50 in the last seven days compared to 27 the week before. While significantly up, it’s worth noting that malicious mischief is commonly an online-reporting category.
Narcotics Activity Has Doubled
Narcotics incidents jumped from 5 to 10 week-over-week. While the raw numbers are still modest, the 100% increase suggests heightened enforcement or a shift in activity patterns.
Downtown Stays the Busiest Zone
Downtown has led all neighborhoods for three consecutive days. With midweek activity already running above average, Thursday and Friday foot traffic could keep the core busy, particularly around Holly St after dark.
