Built by neighbors, for neighbors. We're on a mission to keep Bellingham informed about what's happening in our community.
Bellingham Scan started with a simple question: "What's happening in my neighborhood?"
As Bellingham residents, we found ourselves checking multiple sources, scrolling through social media, and still feeling out of the loop about local police activity. We knew there had to be a better way.
In October 2025, we started testing a daily email — a simple morning brief that summarized the previous day's police activity in an easy-to-understand format. The response was immediate: neighbors wanted this information delivered straight to their inbox, not buried in scattered posts or hard-to-navigate feeds.
By December 2025, Bellingham Scan officially launched. Today, more than 500 neighbors trust us to keep them informed every morning.
In January 2026, we published our first annual report on public safety in Bellingham.
